Dr Charlize Smit

Dr Charlize Smit is a Family Doctor passionate about paediatrics, holistic medical care, and aesthetic well-being.

After qualifying at the University of Pretoria with four years of part-time experience in Phlebotomy, Dr Smit did a two-year internship at Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she did Community Service on deployment for the 5 Special Forces Regiment in Limpopo and then continued Emergency Unit Calls in Cape Town and the Karoo.

In 2022 she established her practice in Phalaborwa, where she now lives with her beautiful family.

Dr Smit loves working with children, delighted by their curiosity and open-mindedness. As a mom herself, Dr Smit prides herself on the gentle care her baby clinic provides. In addition, she's a skincare and aesthetic wellness enthusiast and enjoys a healthy lifestyle in fitness and training.

Following this keen interest, Dr Smit provides her patients with insight and support about healthy lifestyle management and weight control.
